Poker Tells: Asking The Dealer Questions

Answer: Strength

When your opponent asks the dealer a question (for which there is no use) he is trying to portray disinterest in the hand. More often than not when a player is acting disinterested in the hand he is very strong. Obviously there are situations when you legitimately need some information from the dealer. But when your opponent starts asking questions to the dealer for no good reason it is a consistent tell of strength. This is something I use to unknowingly do myself. Correcting your own tells is just as important as recognizing your opponent's tells.
